Benidorm and Beyond

Sunday 19th February

We took a drive over to Benidorm today, what an eye opener! a very busy place even at this time of year.  The drive over was easy enough, but finding a parking place was another story, turning down one road I was surprised to find myself driving along the promenade and in the absence of any other cars I was slightly perturbed, seeing my panic a passer bye said in a broad yorkshire accent “you’re ok here, they will all move out of the way !”

img_2579The prom is probably the nicest area of Benidorm and the old town has a certain charm and is a pleasant place for lunch.

I just imagine in the summer it’s chock-a-block full of lager-louts and chavs, the sort of Brits you feel embarrassed to be around. Pretty out of season though, probably the best time to go. Enjoy 🙂

Meanwhile Storm Doris is blowing a gale around the country, it’s been pretty gusty overnight in Southampton.
