Head for the Hills !
Monday 27th February
As many of you know, I’m not a great fan of driving over high bridges, I’m also not a real fan of driving in extremely windy weather, so you can guess how I felt on the drive to Camping Las Lomas, which is situated high in the Sierra Nevadas near Granada, on one of the windiest days I can remember for quite a while!

Time for a coffee
Although the drive was a little hair raising, the views were stunning, and the sun was shining, its very handy towing your home behind especially when you want a cup of coffee or need to use the loo !

What a View !
The last 6 miles of the journey was on a very steep narrow windy road, which just added to the pleasure of the day.
However all the effort was worthwhile, this is a wonderful campsite with very spacious pitches and magnificent views, the blue colouring of the lake below is so intense that it looks fake !
We are using this site as a base to explore Granada, and in particular the Alhambra, a world heritage site which I first visited in 1971, so I have a few vague recollections and I hope it lives up to all the hype I have given Jane.
Spectacular views. It was a lovely drizzly afternoon here, pretty miserable by comparison. I find the sunshine combined with good views, good food and drink too, really make me feel better. Of course not having to spend the day in an office helps too 😉
